“Creating what she visions”
My name is Marina, but I also go by Rina Nicole. I am a photographer located in Southern California. My pieces relates to the theme of Black Embodiment because I am portraying the beauty of Black people. Seeing mainly negative images of people who look like me can be damaging to one's self esteem and confidence. My goal is to showcase our natural features, different skin complexions, hair textures and physical characteristics. I create sets and style my models to look powerful, strong and beautiful all in one. My goal is for someone to look at my photographs and be gravitated to the message or emotion that I am trying to portray.
